Vine Goes Green
“Vine goes green” is a long term project flowing from our mission to care for that part of creation entrusted to us. Up to now we have focused on highlighting creation care in our worship, in our community and inter faith relationships, and in our church gardens. In 2016 we got the Bronze Eco church award and are now working towards silver.

North East London Eco Faith Climate Forum
Dear Friends
This is an invitation to attend our third North East London Eco Faith Climate Forum. It will be held at Vine United Reformed Church, ILFORD, using the Holstock Road entrance. IG1 ILG.
North East London Eco Faith Climate Forum has been set up to encourage people from all faith groups to take the climate emergency seriously and to work out what people of faith can do to better care for the planet and their own faith buildings.
The community hall is in Ilford town centre about 7 minutes walk from Ilford station and the Elizabeth Line. It is also well served by many bus routes, including buses from Gants Hill on the Central Line. http://ilford.streetmapof.co.uk/holstock-road/
Because there is limited parking at the church, it may be better if you can find an alternative to using the car or offer car sharing – but if you do need to use our car parking, please let me know -see details below. There is also car parking in the town centre within ten minutes walk – including Clements road and under the Exchange Shopping Centre and a small amount of paid street parking in Holstock Road itself.
The programme will be in 2 parts:
Lunch programme to meet up with people and learn about environment improvements to be carried out in the Holstock Road community halls. This is from 1.00 to 2.30, please bring some food to share with others. There will be some singing of environment songs to join in, led by Redbridge Music Lounge.
Workshop programme: this will use 5 small groups to share experience , ideas and ask questions with each other, based round 5 themes (see leaflet).
If you can help in any way with our hosting of the event this would be helpful as we have limited numbers in the church itself – but don’t worry if you cant!
If you would like to join in any part of the programme or want further information you can contact Peter Musgrave. Petermusgrave1950@gmail.com – 07943986988.
